Tax on Lodging & Marketing Credits

Promote your tourism business with a 15% rebate on lodging taxes!

The Tax on Lodging is a 3.5% tax on the price of an overnight stay, charged to the clients on their receipt. It is used by Fonds de partenariat touristique, a tourism partnership fund set up to support and bolster Québec’s tourism industry.

As part of these promotional efforts, EIT members can get a 15% rebate on any lodging tax they have collected and submitted to Revenu Québec. This rebate must be used to promote its products and services in accordance with the terms and conditions established by Tourisme Québec.
